Continuous flow technology in vermicomposting is well known since the 80’s. A proven technology that allows you to manage organic waste in homes, businesses and institutions efficiently. An increasing number of schools, companies and universities are recycling organic waste thanks to vermicomposting. Vermicomposting is easy, efficient, clean and odour free if properly managed.
Vermican has fully tested products for organic waste management for commercial or large producers. Any type of company or institution producing organic waste (restaurants, campgrounds, agri-food processors, farmers, organic, landscaping companies) may reduce their organic waste while generating a fertilizer for their own use or to give away as a marketing campaign. Vermicomposting with the Worm Wigwam is faster, easier and efficient than ever. Economically and without odours or discomfort, continuous flow system of the Worm Wigwam allows recycling of 2 to 4 kg per day of waste.
It can be placed indoors or outdoors in place sheltered from the rain or sun.
To collect the vermicompost just have to turn the crank ripping the bottom of the tank waste and let it fall into the base. After leaving some time for moisture loss, we just have to remove the bottom cap and collect the vermicompost. This equipment comes with an electrical heater that has to be placed al the top of the waste during cold winters in order to obtain the most suitable environment for the worms.
This equipment can handle up to 1.5 tons per year of waste, which would result in obtaining up to 500 kg of vermicompost.

The application of continuous flow vermicomposting in industrial scale operations presents a major advantage over the "traditional" windrow systems. With continuous flow systems it is not required to screen to separate the worms from the vermicast. Thus, continuous flow systems are much more efficient, clean and easy to maintain.
